Who he is
Worldclaimer is a Raptor by trade and a herald by appointment. He commands a big contingent of Chaos Raptors inside the Black Legion and carries the titles Herald of the Apocalypse and Proclamator of Abaddon’s Reign.
His job is psychological as much as military. He arrives first, announces that the world is already lost, and lets that message do half the work before a single shot is fired.
From the Night Lords to the Black Legion
He started out in the fractured Night Lords, leading his own warband called the Gloomtalons. Their raids were nasty and efficient: never hit the same world twice, broadcast the victory in advance over planetary vox, then drop in and butcher anyone who resisted.
After the fighting, Haarken mutilated the dead. He’d offer selected captives (governors, officials, people with something to lose) a simple choice: renounce the Imperium and pay tribute, or die slowly. He planted cultists on raided worlds to report any backsliding, and the Gloomtalons got rich off the fear they left behind.
Why Abaddon picked him
Abaddon noticed. Just before the Fifth Black Crusade he offered Haarken and the Gloomtalons a place at his side. He didn’t dangle wealth. He offered the chance to hurt the Imperium in a way that actually mattered, and Haarken signed up on the spot.
During the invasion of the Elysian Sector, Haarken ran a terror campaign that cracked the region open for the main Black Legion assault. Over the following centuries he cemented himself as Abaddon’s vanguard, the first thing a doomed world sees.
What he does now
Today he’s Abaddon’s mouthpiece, and he clearly enjoys it. He proclaims the death of worlds, sometimes by driving his spear into the planet’s surface to make the point literal.
His Raptors sow discord and panic ahead of the fleet. Once Abaddon’s forces arrive, Haarken switches to decapitation strikes on command and supply hubs, and he won’t hesitate to slaughter a population to break whatever resistance is left.
