The rokkit launcha is the Ork version of a missile launcher. It’s loud, crude, and usually pointed at whatever the Orks want to see explode next.
What it is
A rokkit launcha is a big, simple tube (or sometimes just a stick with a trigger) that fires rokkits, the Ork take on krak missiles. Orks probably invented it because grenades don’t reach far enough.
It’s easy to build, fires on the move, and hits hard enough to threaten tanks. That makes it a common special weapon in Ork mobs and a favourite on vehicles like Warbuggies and Killa Kans.
- Fires rokkits: short-ranged, high-explosive, unreliable, very loud.
- Simple enough that any Mekboy can knock one together.
- Often strapped to vehicles or carried by Tankbustas.
- Can be combined with a shoota to make a kombi-weapon.
Variants
Mekboyz love tinkering, so you’ll see a few different takes on the launcher. The pokkit rokkit launcha is a one-handed version, less powerful but more accurate, and it leaves your other hand free for a choppa.
The ‘eavy rokkit launcha is the opposite: an upscaled version carried by Wrecka Krew Tankbusta Gunners. And the rokkit rack is a back-mounted multiple launcher used by Tankbusta Rokkiteers.
| Variant | What it is |
|---|---|
| Pokkit Rokkit Launcha | Small, one-handed, more accurate, single shot |
| ‘Eavy Rokkit Launcha | Enlarged version for Wrecka Krew gunners |
| Rokkit Rack | Back-mounted multiple launcher |
Ammo and effects
Most rokkit launchas fire plain rokkits. They’re basically Ork krak missiles: shorter range, crammed with explosives, and about as reliable as you’d expect. When they work, they work spectacularly.
Some Mekboys cook up special munitions. Pulsa rokkits are a nasty example, they knock everyone in the blast radius off their feet so the Orks can charge in and finish the job.
Who uses it
Tankbustas are the dedicated rokkit troops, and it’s their primary weapon. But any Ork Boyz mob can grab a few launchas to give themselves a way to crack open armoured vehicles.
Because it’s so simple, it turns up everywhere: on Warbuggies, Killa Kans, and even Fightas (which carry plain rokkits). If an Ork wants something to explode at range, this is the tool they reach for.

FAQ
What’s the difference between a rokkit and a rokkit launcha?
The rokkit is the missile. The rokkit launcha is the weapon that fires it. Rokkits can also be mounted on vehicles like Fightas without a launcher.
Is a rokkit launcha just an Ork missile launcher?
Pretty much. It’s the Ork equivalent of an Imperial missile launcher, though it’s cruder, louder, and usually less accurate.
What’s a pokkit rokkit launcha?
A smaller, one-handed version made by some Mekboyz. It fires one rokkit at a time but is more accurate than the standard model.
