Drazhar, the Master of Blades, is the most feared Incubus in Commorragh. He’s an executioner who seeks out the greatest champions of the galaxy and cuts them down in single combat, and his true identity remains a mystery.
Origin and identity
Drazhar appeared at the gates of the Great Shrine of the Incubi in Commorragh one day and carved his way inside. He challenged the Hierarch, fought him in the duelling circle, and stepped over his corpse after a two-minute duel. Since then he’s served as the Incubi’s sacred executioner.
Nobody knows who he really is. There’s no record of him in any shrine, and he’s never spoken in front of anyone. His name is a title meaning “Living Sword.” Some whisper he’s Arhra, the fallen Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions, but that’s never been confirmed.
What he’s done
Drazhar works for Asdrubael Vect and was sent to kill Yvraine, the Ynnari prophet. He nearly succeeded during the Raid on Saim-Hann, but Jain Zar intervened and let Yvraine escape.
He later ambushed Jain Zar and her Howling Banshees in Shaa-Dom, cut the Phoenix Lord in two, and gave her armour to the Mandrakes so she couldn’t be reborn. Ynnead intervened and brought her back anyway. The two clashed again on the lost Craftworld of Zandros, where Drazhar was finally disarmed and killed.
Tabletop rules
In 10th edition, Drazhar is a fast, hard-hitting melee character with a 2+ save and a 4+ invulnerable save. He leads Incubi, and his Master of Blades ability lets you spend a Pain token to add 1 to wound rolls for his unit in the Fight phase.
His Silent Executioner rule gives him re-rolls against units that are below their starting strength, making him a clean-up killer. He’s not cheap, but he turns Incubi into a genuine threat.

Why he matters
Drazhar is the Incubi made flesh: a living weapon who cares only about the next perfect kill. He ties into the Ynnari storyline and the ongoing mystery of Arhra, making him one of the Drukhari’s most interesting characters.
If you play Drukhari, he’s a scalpel you point at enemy characters. In the lore, he’s a reminder that the Dark City’s deadliest fighters aren’t always the ones with the biggest armies.
