Kor’sarro Khan is the Captain of the White Scars 3rd Brotherhood and the chapter’s fifty-first Master of the Hunt. He’s the guy the White Scars send when a enemy has survived them once and needs to be finished for good.
Who he is
Kor’sarro Khan holds two titles that matter: Khan of the 3rd Brotherhood and Master of the Hunt. He was born on Chogoris around M41 and has served from that era into the present day, now crossing the Rubicon Primaris to fight as a Primaris Space Marine.
His gene-seed links him to Jaghatai Khan, the primarch of the White Scars, and to every other son of Chogoris. He took over the 3rd Brotherhood from Khantak Khan and has led it ever since.
The Master of the Hunt
Every twenty-five years, at the height of the Rites of Howling, the White Scars dispatch their Master of the Hunt to track down a foe who got away. Kor’sarro usually takes a handful of battle-brothers from his own company. A hunt can run for months or years, but it’s never called off.
When he returns to Chogoris with the quarry’s severed head, the chapter throws a celebration. The skull is then handed to the Voice of the Storm, who burns out its eyes with a brand while the hymn of vengeance is sung. The name is struck from the hunt’s roster and the silver-masked head is mounted on a lance along the road to the White Scars’ fortress-monastery.
Notable kills and campaigns
As the fifty-first Master of the Hunt since the chapter’s founding, Kor’sarro has completed almost twenty hunts. His quarries have included the Daemon Prince Kernax Voldorius, the Eldar pirate lord Varaliel, the Daemon Prince Doomrider, and the Chaos Warlord Paramyx, who slipped away during the daemon incursion on Gehoft.
His first hunt ended on the third moon of the gas giant Mai Nine. He also killed a Tyranid Hive Tyrant in single combat during the Siege of Mysibis. In 813.M41 he was sent to raid the Tau world of Cano’var, only to find it already in Necron hands under Overlord Zahndrekh. His Thunderhawk was shot down and he was captured, escaping alongside the Eldar Ranger Illic Nightspear before things went wrong against Obyron.
How he fits into the wider lore
Kor’sarro is the clearest example of what the White Scars value: speed, personal glory, and finishing what you start. The Master of the Hunt is an old tradition, and he’s carried it longer than almost anyone.
He’s also one of the few named White Scars characters with a long record in the lore, which makes him a natural entry point if you want to read about the chapter beyond their primarch. His hunts tie him to Chaos, Eldar, Necrons, Tau, and Tyranids, so he turns up in a lot of different conflicts.
