Sautekh Dynasty

The Sautekh Dynasty is the most powerful Necron dynasty in the galaxy, ruled by Phaeron Imotekh the Stormlord from the crownworld of Mandragora. To the Imperium, they’re the face of the entire Necron race, and they’re expanding fast along the Eastern Fringe.

Who rules the Sautekh Dynasty?

Imotekh the Stormlord is the dynasty’s Phaeron. He wasn’t born to the throne. After the Great Sleep, Mandragora’s old Phaeron had decayed beyond recovery, and his royal court tore itself apart fighting over the succession. One pretender woke the renowned Nemesor Imotekh to fight for him. Imotekh took the crown for himself instead.

Under his rule, the dynasty has become one of the most aggressive Necron powers, pushing hard into Imperial space on the Eastern Fringe. Imotekh doesn’t even acknowledge the Silent King’s authority, and he’s recently risen against him in the Pariah Nexus.

Territory and client dynasties

The dynasty holds around eighty Tomb Worlds, with Mandragora as its crownworld. Many of its core worlds survived the Great Sleep intact, which is a big part of why it’s so strong today.

It also dominates several client dynasties. The Arrynmarok Dynasty is ruled by Overlord Szaron, and the Sekemtar Dynasty by Overlord Naszar. The Horth and Malthost Dynasties are also under Sautekh sway. The Karnokh Dynasty used to be a Sautekh vassal, but after waking they declared themselves cursed revenants and broke away, now fighting to free other Necrons from the C’tan’s biotransference curse.

How the Sautekh fight

Before biotransference, the Sautekh ranked third among all Necron dynasties. Their nobility is now among the most eager to expand and restore Necron glory. They routinely enslave non-human worlds.

Against other Necron dynasties that won’t submit, they show more respect and honour in battle. Once those rivals are beaten, though, they’re assimilated without mercy. The dynasty has fought in the Cerberax Wars and the Absorption Wars, laid siege to Xaros, and clashed with Waaagh! Snagratoof. Other notable engagements include the Battle of Sanctuary 101, the Battle of Schrodinger VII, attacks on Tigrus, Bellus Prime, and Attila, the Pariah Crusade, and the Ultramarian Reclamation.
